Full Grain Vegetable-Tanned Leather
We take great pride in sourcing leather for our bags from a renowned Italian tannery, a member of the Consorzio Vera Pelle Italiana. This tannery is known for producing exceptional, vegetable-tanned, aniline leather. This traditional tanning process not only enhances the natural beauty of the leather but also ensures a unique patina that develops over time.
For our belts, we use double butt vegetable-tanned leather, for its strength, flexibility, and longevity. Many of our belts are made with English bridle leather, sourced from the well-known Wickett & Craig tannery. Renowned for its rich colour, smooth finish, and exceptional durability, this leather will develop a beautiful patina over time.
Stitching
Every product is made by a single artisan, Karen uses a combination of hand and machine sewing, carefully choosing the method that best suits each piece. For intricate or high-wear areas, such as handles and straps. Some pieces are completely hand-sewn, reflecting the highest level of craftsmanship. Other areas are sewn with a machine for precision and efficiency, especially where strength and reinforcement are required. This blend of techniques guarantees long-lasting quality in every product.
Solid Brass Hardware
Our hardware is crafted from solid brass, a material celebrated for its durability and timeless appeal. We offer the brass in its natural finish or with a PVD or nickel coating, giving you options to match your style. Each piece of hardware, whether on a bag or keyring, is designed to last and beautifully complement our leather.
Handcrafted Details
Every piece we create is hand-beveled, with edges either carefully painted or burnished and waxed for a smooth finish. Even the smallest keyrings receive the same attention to detail. Before shipping, each piece is conditioned to provide extra protection and enhancing the leather's softness and sheen.
